Nursery development

Since 2014, Congaree and Penn has grown a variety of mayhaw plant material in the commercial orchard environment, developing protocols for the tissue culture of two cultivars. Both are now available in commercial quantities. We are currently working in parallel to develop best practices for rootstock production and selection, as well as developing a large number of trees to utilize for budwood material.

Congaree and Penn has built and refined the framework required for the expansion of our own mayhaw orchard cultivation. We now offer quality organic material for prospective mayhaw orchard growers.
